The recent changes in weather conditions have created quite a flury of discussions. For some it is ok, for others it’s too cold, and yet for others it’s not cold enough. The beauty about this, we are able to make the adjustments based on how many layers of clothing we wear. Long before you and I came on the scene, God made a promise to Noah in Genesis 8:22 ” While the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease” The key words here are” while earth remaineth”. The repetitive cycle of all that is mentioned above we will experience for the indefinite future. This is a promise that God made and a promise that God has kept. It is all based on while earth remaineth. If it is based on while earth remaineth, it is speaking to something that God has in mind. That is, there’s going to be a change in creation. In Romans 8:22-23 it reads “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but we ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”
(In view of what we’ve just read, it is clear that earth will not remain as it is, it will undergo a change because all of God’s creation is groaning and waiting for this change. If God promised a change, it will come to pass. Let us be prepared.
