The Bible tells us a story concerning a man from Ethiopia who was interested in knowing about Jesus. According to the report in Acts 8:26-40, he read the passage, but was unable to fully understand what it was saying. But God who knows the heart of every man including this man regardless of where your location is. Having said that; God sent his servant to help him understand the scriptures. The passage he read was from Isaiah 53:1- 5 which read ” Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form or comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely, he hath borne our grief, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are headed”.
(God’s servant was able to use this passage of scripture to satisfy this man’s hunger for Jesus, which resulted in him accepting Jesus as Lord and was baptized. Are you hungry for Jesus?
