Yes, the murderer can be forgiven spiritually because the bible tells us; “where sin abound, grace did much more abound”.
We are also told from the scriptures “that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”.
So as Jesus hang on the cross he was absorbing all the sin of humanity which included the murderer.
Therefore, while it is true that the murderer should face capital punishment, it is also true that he can receive eternal life through the death of Jesus.
Let us confess our sins to him who is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
