1 Thessalonians 5:19
The answer to this question is yes. In 1st Thessalonians 5:19
We are told that we should not quench the Holy Spirit.
(Paul was saying to the church that the fire of passion placed in the heart of the believers by the Holy Spirit should not be put out but, instead must continue to blaze. In another scripture, Ephesians 4:30 Paul used the term “grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby we are sealed unto the day of redemption’.(In this we see where we can make the Holy Spirit sad, by getting into the way of his work, considering he is the one who seals our redemption. By grieving the Holy Spirit we are doing the opposite to what God desires.
In the things we do, in the things we say and the thoughts we entertain).
So Have we gotten in the way of the Holy Spirit by grieving or quenching Him?)
