1 Corinthians 11:1 Be you FOLLOWERS of me as I also am of Christ: Words of the great Apostle Paul to the Corinthian Church:
The Epistle to the Philippian Church was a personal letter to the brethren with the usual Greeting: Grace and Peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ:
Paul is thanking God upon every remembrance of the Saints and in every prayer request with Joy, for their Fellowship in the Gospel, from the first day until now:
He is Confident of this very thing that He which had begun a good work in them would perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Meaning God}
That their Love may abound more and more in knowledge and approve things that are excellent, being sincere without offence till the Day of Jesus Christ, filled with the fruits of Righteousness, unto the Glory and Praise of God:
The things which happened to him, happened for the furtherance of The Gospel. His bonds in Christ are manifest every place and the brethren in The Lord became bolder to speak The Word without fear:
For him to live is Christ and to die is gain: He was in a strait whether to depart and be with Christ which is far better, but to stay was more needful Encouraging and being an Example:
He exhorted Unity and Humility using Jesus as the Example, who being in the Form of God, made Himself of no reputation took on the form of a servant, made in the likeness of men found in fashion as a man, became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross:
Wherefore God hath Highly Exalted Him and given Him a Name which is Above every name: That at The Name of Jesus, every knee should Bow, of things in heaven, on earth, under the earth: and every tongue Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God The Father:
In his Testimony he had given up ALL for Christ: All that were gain he counted loss for Christ and for the Excellency of the Knowledge of Christ counting all as dung:
Not having his own righteousness, but the Righteousness which is of God by Faith, and that he may know Him and the Power of His Resurrection and the Fellowship of His Sufferings, made conformable unto His death, that he may attain unto the Resurrection of the dead:
He exhorted the Brethren to Press toward the mark for the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus and to be FOLLOWERS of him Paul as an example: Finally whatsoever things are True, Honest, Just, Pure, Lovely and of a Good Report; if there be any Virtue or Praise, think on these things: Those things which you have Learned and Received and Heard and Seen in me DO; and The God of Peace shall be with You: This is what is called: To FOLLOW me as I FOLLOW CHRIST: THE PERFECT EXAMPLE of what a Believer and Myself ought to be:
