Giving Thanks Is an Act of Worship – Expressing Gratitude to God for All things – Seen and Unseen: Known or Unknown – It is an Offering of Praise – For His Greatness – His Power – Grace and Mercy: Confession – Devotion – Sacrifice – Acknowledging God as the Source of all Gifts – Spiritual and Physical – Confidence in God – Enriching our Relationship with Him – For His Love – Faithfulness and Remembering His Loving Kindness which is better than life.
There are many Scriptures GIVING THANKS both in The Old and New Testament – These are a few:
First – We GIVE THANKS to God for Giving us His Son Jesus – The Greatest act of Love to Mankind: The Best Gift of all Gifts – John 3 -16: For God so Loved the world, He Gave His Only Begotten Son, that Whosever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have Everlasting life.
We GIVE THANKS for Salvation – Forgiveness of Sins – Atonement – Redemption – Justification: Eph 1:1-23: Blessed be The God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with All Spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ – Chosen – Pre-destined to the Adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself – Accepted in The Beloved – Redemption and Forgiveness through His Blood – according to the Richness of His Grace – Obtained an Inheritance being Pre-destined according to the purpose of His own Will – that we should be to the Praise of His Glory who first trusted in Christ – We cease not to GIVE THANKS – Isaiah 40:5: Blessings that cannot be numbered.
Thanksgiving Scriptures : 1 Chronicles 16:34: – O GIVE THANKS unto The LORD for He Is Good and His Mercy Endureth Forever – Ps 107:1-2: O GIVE THANKS unto God for HE is Good – For His Mercy Endureth Forever – And let the Redeemed Say so, whom He hath Redeemed from the hand of the enemy – Psalm 136:1-26: For His Mercy – His Unconditional Love – His All Sufficient Grace – {Unmerited}
Psalm 91:1-12: Protection – Psalm100:1-5: We are His People – His Creation – The Sheep of His Pasture: His Marvelous Works – Naturally and the Spiritually – Enter His Gates with Praise and Thanksgiving.
Psalm 103:3-4: Who Forgives All Sins – Heals All Diseases – Redeems – shows Tender Mercies – Loving -Kindness – Satisfies our mouth with Good Things – so that our Youth is Renewed like the eagles: Executes Righteousness and Judgment for the oppressed – O GIVE THANKS – with a Grateful Heart.
Psalm 103:10-14: Confession – He had not dealt with us after the manner of our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities – For as the heaven is high above the earth – so great is His Mercy toward them that fear Him – As far as the east is from the west – so far as He removed our transgressions from us – Like as a father pitieth His Children, so The LORD pitieth them that fear Him – For He knoweth our frame – and remembereth that we are dust.
1 John 1:9: If we Confess our sins – He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness – Though our sins be as scarlet – red as crimson – they shall be as wool Isaiah 1:18.
GIVE THANKS – For our Pastors who watches over Souls – Feeding the flock with The Word of God: Freedom of Worship {So Far} The Family of God – Our Loved Ones – Saved and Un-Saved – Friends Neighbors – Freedom of expression – 1Timothy 2-1-5: Prayers – Supplication and GIVING of THANKS be made for All men to be saved and we being able to live a Peaceable Life – Godly and Honestly.
IN ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS – it is the Will of GOD – JESUS GAVE THANKS TO THE FATHER ALWAYS.
