Gratitude implies a deeper sense of expression, recognizing that a Kindness has been received, often for something Unearned. Give Thanks with a Grateful heart, not only to the Giver you can see or know, but to The Almighty God: The Giver of all good Gifts:

Psalm 40:5: Tells us a lot about Why we should give Thanks: Many are Thy Wonderful Works which Thou hast done, and Thy Thoughts which are towards us: They cannot be reckoned up in order unto Thee: If I would declare and speak about them, they are more than can be numbered. So, we continually say, Thanks – Thanks – Thanks: O we do give Thanks:
Luke 17:11-19: The Parable of the ten Lepers Jesus cleansed: As Jesus came into the city, there met Him ten men that were Lepers: They stood afar off, they were not supposed to be near anyone, so they lifted up their voices, saying Jesus, Master have Mercy on us: Jesus saw them: Told them to go shew themselves to the Priests: {He sees us all} While on their way they were cleansed: One when he saw that he was healed, turned back and with a Loud voice, Glorified God, fell down on his face at Jesus feet, giving Him Thanks: He was a Samaritan: Jesus who Knows All Things, said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Only this stranger has returned to give Glory to God: Jesus said to him: Arise, go thy way, thy Faith hath made thee whole: The others were healed but not made whole: When we recognize the Goodness of God, it is not only appropriate to give Thanks and let others know, but also to Worship: Sometimes God’s People take things for granted, but a stranger experiencing the Grace: Unmerited Favor and Mercy of God can’t be silent:
