One of the first sign in a broken society can stem from the disobedience of children to their parents. A stable family life is the foundation of building a good community that adheres and respect law and order.
This was on the mind of God when he gave the ten commandments, for the fifth commandment in Exodus 20:12 says “honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days maybe long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee”.
(In this we see the instructions given to the children of Israel from the Lord through Moses, regarding the structure of the nuclear family.
It also indicates that long life is promise based on children’s obedience to their parents. It is unfortunate that society seems to be encouraging single parenting. This goes against the plan of God in having a mother and father as head of the household, which weakens the entire family structure. It is in our interest, and I will encourage this on all parents and potential parents to get back to the biblical principles of parenting having a mother and father in the home 🏡
