The Christian community has lost a giant, the Apostolic Church In America has lost a brother and a friend. Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose”.
(We take comfort in the fact that, in the eyes of God it is a good thing to call our brother home, but, while he was with us what was the purpose of his calling? This is not so much of a difficult question to answer, when we reflect upon his contribution to the Christian community. Bro Bailey/Deacon served in various roles in his lifetime. He served in the Prison Ministry, he served in the Choir Ministry, he served in Praise and Worship Ministry, he was also talented vocalist and an accomplished musician.
The testimonies left behind served as an inspiration to many both local and international. Revelation 14:13 speaks to the accomplishment of this outstanding servant, it reads “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yeah, sayeth the spirit, that they may rest from their labor; and their works do follow them “.
Not only that the works do follow our dearly beloved, but the memories of his accomplishments will continue to live with us for many years to come. This is the beauty when one has passed from death unto life, glory to be God.
