One of the most encouraging chapters in the Bible, is the 23rd Psalm, listen to what it says.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me besides the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for though art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou prepareth a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”
(Let’s look on some of the things the Lord IS to us from this passage.
Verse 1 indicates the Lord is our Jehovah Jireh, he provides for us daily.
Verse 2 indicates the Lord is our rest and comfort.
Verse 3 indicates that the Lord is our source of righteousness.
Verse 4 indicates that the Lord is our source of confidence and comfort.
Verse 5 indicates that the Lord is our anointing.
Verse 6 indicates that the presence of Lord will be with us both now and forever.
No wonder this Psalm is used in so many different areas of the Christian life. I therefore encourage you to read and meditate upon it as often as possible)
