As we continue this threefold ministry given to Peter Jesus asked the second time,” Simon son of Jonah lovest thou me? He saith unto him, yeah, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, feed my sheep” John 21:16.
(Notice this time the Lord says feed my sheep, which means he’s referring to mature Christians in the church.
The feeding of the word is vital to the continuous development of the believer. That’s where Bible study is so important in the church. I would encourage you if you’re not having regular Bible studies where you worship get into a ministry that conducts Bible study regularly. For Jesus said “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God”.
(Peter therefore in receiving the second charge from the Lord, discover that his calling is to serve men. Let us display our serventhood in ministering to the needs of other.
