Lovest Thou Me More Than These?
Jesus said this to Peter the third time he also said to him”feed my sheep” John 21:17.
(Now we see where Peter is given the responsibility to feed both lamb and sheep in the same place).
As we close these thoughts regarding the three-fold ministry given to Peter. We’re told by the word in 1 Peter 5:2 “feed the flock of God, which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willing: not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind:”
(You will notice that the motivating factor for feeding the flock is not monetary but a love for Jesus. For Jesus asked the question three times lovest thou me more than these.
In this Pastor’s appreciation month, I would like to encourage all servants of God to embrace this threefold ministry and become fishers of men.)
