The new speaker of the House of Representative, Mike Johnson has displayed his religious conviction with great transparency. It is indeed satisfying to listen someone occupying such powerful position in government making comments on his conviction to God without fear.
Throughout Bible history we have seen where God has raised up a leader for a particular time and purpose. At this time in the United States when the kingdom of darkness seems to be so pervasive, it is important for the kingdom of heaven to demonstrate that God is still in control and will shift the conversation to bring glory and honor to his name. In 1 Timothy 2:1-4 we read “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplication, prayers, intercession, and giving of thanks, be made for all men:
For kings, for all that are in authority: that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all Godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior:
Who will have all men to be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth”.
(Let us be obedient to God’s word as we pray for our leaders in authority and specifically for the new speaker of the house that he will continue to be God’s representative at the highest level”. Watching an interview with the speaker and his wife, one discovers that his entire life is dedicated to the service of God. We look forward to see how God will use him in this position).
