I would like to speak of the MERCY of The Everlasting God, Creator of Mankind:
Let me also remind you of a Poem by William Shakespeare: It reads thus:
The Quality of MERCY is not Strained: It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven upon the place beneath: It is twice Blest; it Blesseth him that gives and him that takes: Tis mightiest in the mightiest: It becomes the Throned Monarch better than his Crown: His Scepter shows the Force of temporal Power: The Attribute to Awe and Majesty, wherein doth sit the Dread and Fear of Kings:
But MERCY is above this Scepter’s sway: It is enthroned in the hearts of Kings: It is an Attribute to God Himself: And earthly power doth then show likeness to God, when MERCY tempers Justice:
Psalm 136:1-26: Every verse MERCY: V-1: O give thanks unto The LORD; for He is Good: For His MERCY Endureth Forever: V-2: O give thanks unto The God of Gods: For His MERCY Endureth Forever: V-3: O give thanks to The Lord of lords: For His MERCY Endureth Forever: V-26: O give thanks unto The God of Heaven: For His MERCY Endureth Forever:
MERCY is God’s Loving- Kindness to us sinners, for All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and His Righteousness: The wages of sin is death; but the Gift of God is Eternal Life, through Christ Jesus; going to The Cross, paying our sin debt, a debt He did not owe, one we could not pay: That is called MERCY: We did not get what we deserved: {Death} He Forgave us and Life was given:
His MERCY rejoiceth over Judgment: Lamentation 3:22-23: It is of The LORD’S MERCIES; that we are not Consumed: They are new Every Morning: Can you believe this? O give thanks unto The LORD for He is Good: For His MERCIES Endureth Forever: His MERCIES are manifold: Multifarious-Many times over and over: MERCY there was Great and Grace was Free; Pardon there was multiplied to me, there my burdened soul found Liberty at Calvary: MERCY and Grace; God’s Unmerited Favor is for Whosoever will ask: The Publican said, Lord have MERCY on me: He went home whole:
Hadn’t it been for a hill called Calvary; Hadn’t been for an Old Rugged Cross; Hadn’t been for a Man called Jesus; my soul would be forever lost: The Blood of Jesus Cleanseth from All sin: Can you imagine; When He was on The Cross; You-Me-Us- were on His Mind: Love- Grace- MERCY, shown:
Psalm103:1-22: Many blessings are in this portion: Bless The Lord O my soul and all that is within me, Bless The Lord, O my soul and Forget not All His Benefits, Forgiveness of sins, Healing, Redemption, crowned with Loving-kindness and Tender MERCIES: Satisfies our mouth with good things: Renew our strength, execute Righteousness and Judgment for the oppressed: He is MERCIFUL-Gracious, slow to Anger and Plenteous in MERCY: Read the entire Chapter: The MERCIES – HE has Bestowed:
As God is, so should we be also: Matthew 5:7: Blessed are the MERCIFUL for they shall obtain MERCY: Micah: 6-8: He hath shewed thee O man, what is good and what doth The LORD require of thee: But to do Justly and to love MERCY and walk Humbly with thy God: {More good news brethren}
Hebrew 2:17: We have a MERCIFUL and Faithful High Priest {JESUS} in things pertaining to God to make Reconciliation for our sins through the Redemptive work of Christ: Fellowship with God:
Peter 1:11: Blessed be the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ: His abundant MERCY hath begotten us unto a living Hope by the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead; To an Incorruptible Inheritance:
