It is a healthy thought that should preoccupy one’s mind, in waiting for an opportunity to do something good. Many people have missed their moment in not identifying a spiritual opportunity, listen to what Jesus said to us in Matthew 25:42-43 ” For I was an hungered, and he gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and he gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and he took me not in: naked, and he clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and he visited me not” .
(Here Jesus revealed to those who have missed their spiritual opportunity in ministering to him according to V:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, verily I say unto you, in as much as ye did it NOT to one of the least of these, ye did it NOT unto me”. How painful it is when we discover that we have missed our spiritual moment in ministering to the Lord. Jesus can appear as a stranger according to Luke 24:15 ” And it came to pass that while they commune together and reason, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
But their eyes were holden that they should not know him”.
(The scripture here explains that even in a conversation the Lord is present and sometimes we are not aware. St Mark also explains that he can appear in a different form, Mark 16:12. In closing let’s take a look at Hebrews 13:1-3. ” It says: let brotherly love continue.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the same body.”
Let us never miss our moment of spiritual opportunity).
