This not a Christmas message, but about the place where the Greatest Event in History occurred, fulfilling the prophecies of the Law and the Prophets concerning The Redeemer:
Micah 5:2-4: The Birth of The Savior of the whole world: But thou BETHLEHEM; EPHRATHA; though be little among the thousands of Judah; yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be Ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from Everlasting:
BETHLEHEM means House of bread: How appropriate for Jesus Our Savior, who called Himself The Bread of Life: A town of Judaea, and one of the oldest towns of Palestine. Formerly called EPHRATHA: First mentioned in Genesis 35:16-19: Rachel the Beloved wife of Jacob, who gave birth to Benjamin, brother of Joseph, she died giving birth and was buried in the way of EPHRATHA, which is BETHLEHEM: Genesis 48:7:
BETHLEHEM was also, the home of Naomi, Mother-in-law of Ruth, who was married to Boaz, kinsman, redeemer. Typology of Jesus: Our True Kinsman and Redeemer: Ruth2:1-4
Matthew 1:1-6: The generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham: Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; Boaz begat Obed of Ruth; Obed begat Jesse; Jesse begat David:
It is also called the City of David: For unto you is born this day in the city of David; a Savior, which is, Christ the Lord: O Little town of BETHLEHEM the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee, proclaiming The Holy Birth of The Savior: and The Prince of Peace:
Luke 2:1-21: In those days there went out a decree from Ceasar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. All went to be taxed everyone into his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called BETHLEHEM, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife being great with child: So, it was that while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. She brought forth her first born son, wrapped him in swaddling clothes, laid him in a Manger, for there was no room for them in the inn.
Shepherds were abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night; The Angel of the Lord came upon them; the glory of the Lord shone round about them, they were afraid. The Angel said unto them: Fear not: I bring you Good Tidings of Great Joy, which shall be to all people: For unto you is Born This Day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. This shall be a Sign unto you; You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes; lying in a Manger: there was with the Angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God; saying. Glory to God in the Highest; on earth, Peace, Goodwill toward men.
Matthew 2:1-23: Jesus was born in BETHLEHEM of Judea in the days of Herod. Wise men came saying, we have seen His Star in the east and have come to worship Him: They brought Gold, Frankincense. Myrrh, symbolizing, King, Priest, Sacrifice death on the Cross: The Lamb of God who gave His Life an Atonement for the sins of Adam’s fallen race:
BETHLEHEM of Judea, of thee came a Ruler, and Savior, who died on The Cross:
The very reason we celebrate Easter: BETHLEHEM morning is more than just a memory; for The Child that was born there; came to set us free; His loving arms are opened wide for all: Celebrate Jesus, Celebrate, He came, He died, rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven:
The next Exciting Good News is that He is coming again, and every eye shall behold Him: THE BABE OF BETHLEHEM is THE KING OF KINGS; LORD OF LORDS: JESUS: MESSIAH:
For God so loved the world He gave his Only Begotten Son, that Whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life: What LOVE: Praise God: Hallelujah:
