As the New Year has begun. We must seek God for clarity on what he wants us to do going forward this new year. Let’s Ask and thank him for boldness to obey. Seek Him to experience transformation. We might not know what the transformation looks like, (only God knows), however when we experience it, our desire for more of Him will increase. Let’s go for more!
To track with God, you must stay connected with God (Isaiah 55:1-11)
- We must forsake wicked ways and unrighteous thoughts (v.7)
- God’s thoughts and ways are different from/superior to ours (v.8)
- God’s plans cannot fail (v.10)
- The word of God is sure (v.11)
God knows and controls the times and the seasons (Daniel 2:20-22)
To stay connected with God we must believe and receive that which is revealed.
Consecration is essential if we are seeking God.

The Lord searches all hearts and understands all the imagination of the thoughts 1 Chronicles 28:9
We must seek the Lord for help 2 Chronicles 20:4
Reasons Why we need to seek God.
- We have become comfortable and complacent with things that we ought to have a righteous indignation about
- There must be a distinction between the godly and the ungodly
- The land needs healing
- For strengthening for the journey and for the season we are entering into
- When we are experiencing dryness or in a spiritual wilderness
- When the church (the body of Christ) is off course, when the compass that guides it indicates that a shift or change in direction is needed.
- Because the Lord says we are to seek him
Ways to seek God.
- Set aside time to pray at the start and at the end of day.
- Find new ways to practice his presence.
- Identify and remove sinful actions from your life.
- Build a habit of expressing gratitude to God.
- Use the scripture to get to know him.
- Learn to be joyful in all circumstances.
- Offer praise continually.
- Identify and remove idols from your heart.
- Surrender all areas of your life.
- Spend time with him without being encumbered with things.


Seeking God, this is powerful and will take a lot of diligence to apply all these pointers. Roman’s 12-1-2: tells us how. With the help of The Holy Spirit to keep us focused on things above and not beneath, we can be conformed to the Image of God’s Son,The Lord Jesus Christ, our perfect Example. Exhortation received.
