This word is from Jeremiah 29:11- 14a
For I know the Thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, Thoughts of PEACE and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall you Call upon Me? and you shall go and Pray unto Me, and I will Hearken unto you, and you shall Seek Me and find Me, when you shall Search for Me with all your heart, and I will be found of you, saith the Lord.
So, I had to Call upon Him and Pray, He said He would Hearken, if I seek Him and search for Him, I will find Him, so this is the Word He gave me.
Acts 15:18: Known unto God are all things from the foundation of the world.
He knows the Thoughts that He thinks toward me and the Thoughts of my heart. Let’s hear, what His Thoughts are toward me and everyone that is listening to this Word. His Thoughts are Thoughts of Peace. He alone can give Peace.
We live in a world that seems increasingly void of Peace. Depression, Anxiety, social and political unrest, fear, anger, hatred, discrimination, violence and murders. The world needs Peace. Where is it to be found. In a Person, who is called Jesus. Long before he was born, it was prophesied:
Isaiah 9:6: The soon coming Messiah would be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace: {Sar Shalom} in Hebrew, {Sar} means- Chief-Captain-Leader: {Shalom} means safety and completeness His mission was to lead a broken world to safety and wholeness: He taught how to have Peace with God and live Peacefully with others:
John 14:27: He said, Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Safety through the hard times of life, security in stressful situations, hope in times of anxiety and fear:
There is a song that says, this Peace that I have, the world did not give it to me and the world cannot take it away.
Do you have this Peace? You cannot have this Peace until you know the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 26:3: Thou will keep him in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because we trust in Him. That means relationship.
Romans 5:1: Therefore, being Justified by Faith, we have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Justification is as we have never sinned, because Jesus took our sins upon Himself on The Cross, His Blood was shed for the Remission of sins, for you, for me, for the whole world.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world that Whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have Everlasting Life. We are Reconciled to God, no longer enemies. Harmony with God. Peace of God, Peace with God and our fellowman and Peace within ourselves.
Look around you, at all the chaos, hatred, violence, people killing one another, it is our Responsibility to pray for them, and given the opportunity to introduce them to Jesus, The Prince of Peace.
Judges 6:1-24: The people did evil in the sight of The LORD, God delivered them into the Midianites, the enemy prevailed against them, they had to hide in caves and strong holds, everything was taken from them, no sustenance left for them. They were impoverished. Looks like what is happening today. They cried unto The LORD: Our help comes from The LORD.
An Angel appeared unto a man called Gideon and said, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valor. He said O My Lord, if The LORD is with us, WHY is all this befallen us, where are the miracles our fathers told us, we may be asking the same thing, everything is getting harder and harder. The LORD told him what to do, he said, IF I have found Grace in Thy sight, shew me a sign, that Thou talkest with me. It is important to hear The Voice of God, all the voices in the world are doom and gloom. The LORD did a miracle, he realized he had seen The Angel of The LORD face to face and was afraid:
The LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee, you shall not die, so Gideon built an Altar unto The LORD and called it, {JEHOVAH SHALOM} meaning Peace:
In this life there are situations that will cause fear and worry: Remember this: No matter what you are facing, loneliness, sickness, stress, broken relationship Jesus offers Peace, He will calm your fears and speak to the storms:
Matthew 4:35-41: The disciples were in a boat with Jesus on the sea of Galilee: There arose a great storm of wind, the waves beat into the boat, filling it with water: Jesus was asleep on a pillow, comfortable, can you believe it? They woke Him up and said, carest not that we perish? He arose, rebuked the wind and said unto the sea? {Peace – Be still} The wind ceased and there was a great calm; He said; Why are you so fearful? how is it you have no Faith:
I don’t know if we would have done any better than those disciples, but one thing I can say is this? Jesus cares and if He is in your boat, there is no need for alarm: No matter what life throws at us, we have Peace in and through Jesus:
Philippians 4:6-7: Be careful for nothing, in everything by prayer and thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God: in other words tell Him your problems: And the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds, through Christ Jesus: Don’t fret, give it all to Him: He knows what to do. He is Sovereign, totally in control, all we have to do is have Faith in Him: He is all we need and He is more than enough, remember His Thoughts towards us is Peace {not evil} just love, goodness, grace, mercy, to give us an expected end:
I will close with this Song: When Peace like a river attendeth my way; When sorrows like sea billows roll: Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say; It is well- It is well with my soul: It is well, with my soul, with my soul it is well: It is well it is well, it is well with my soul.
If you need this Peace come to Jesus for His Peace, Sweet Peace, Wonderful Gift from above: Oh Wonderful, Wonderful Peace: Sweet Peace the Gift of God’s Love: May the LORD bless you with His Shalom:
