We mourn the loss of the Reverend Jimmy Swaggart, who had served the Christian Community with a passion. We are told that he started serving from 1955 until his death in 2025. We are also informed that he was the longest serving Tele Evangelist of all times. However, despite all of this information, he experienced some difficult moments as the enemy had sought to derail his ministry. Acknowledging his shortcomings he had publicly confessed and apologized for his actions.
Having been reconciled with the Lord he continued to bear witness to the name of Jesus forcefully until the time of his passing.
The other servant of God who have gone home to be with the Lord recently is the Revered John MacArthur from California. He served from 1969 until the time of his passing in 2025. He also wrote over (60) Sixty books. A well learned and accomplished Theologian who served the Lord with distinction. It is commonly said that he was the best expositor of Roman’s chapter (1) One.
The Reverend Jimmy Swaggart and the Reverend John MacArthur will be spoken of for years to come specifically from the Christian community.
Therefore, we ask ourselves the question what does the Bible say about servants like these.? In Revelation 14:13 “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: yeah, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them “.
(Here we see in the eyes of the Lord, that these two servants are happy and are resting, and their works will be spoken of in eternity for the Bible said their works shall follow them.
Let our prayers be that God will raise up more Jimmy Swaggart and John MacArthur to serve in his kingdom as we await the second coming of our Lord Jesus).
