Let us focus for a little on the wisest man who has ever lived other than the Lord Jesus.
In Ecclesiastes 12:13 & 14 Solomon wrote “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
(Have we missed our priority? Because we are just told by Solomon that the whole duty of man, is to fear God and keep his commandments. These are frightening words coming from the wisest man that has ever walked the face of this Earth, other than the Lord Jesus. I invite everyone to read the entire book of Ecclesiastes, what it will reveal to us is something extraordinary in regard to God and man’s relationship.
let’s listen to Solomon speaking about some of his achievements in Ecclesiastes 2: 4-11 “I made me great works; I build me houses; I planted me vineyards: I made me gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them of all kinds of fruits: I made me pools of water, to water therewith the wood that bringeth forth trees: I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me: I gather me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and the province: I got me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all sorts.
So, I was great and increased more than all who were before in Jerusalem: also, my wisdom remained with me.
And whatsoever my eye’s desire I keep not from them; I withhold not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoice in all my labor: and this was my portion of all my labor.
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun “.
This report of achievement from Solomon opens our spiritual eyes to what really matters before God.
Therefore, we are warned by Solomon that God is going to bring everything into judgement, with every secret thing, whether they be good, or whether it be evil.
I exhort you readers to yield to this advice because it’s coming from someone who has explored all the areas of life)
