The whole Bible points to THE LAMB OF GOD; from Genesis to Revelation, as the Sacrifice for the sin of mankind in types and shadows until the Revelation of THE LAMB, slain from the foundation of the world:
Genesis 22:1-13 The first reference about a LAMB: God said to Abraham, take now thy son, thy only son, and offer him as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I tell you of, he obeyed, took his only son {Isaac} and wood for the fire. Isaac said to his father, my father, behold the wood and the fire, but where is the LAMB for a burnt offering? Abraham said, My God will provide Himself a LAMB:
Abraham built an altar, laid the wood in order, bound Isaac his son, laid him on the altar upon the wood: God said, Abraham, Abraham, he said here am I: Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do anything unto him for now I know, that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thy only son from me: Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, behold, behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: Abraham took the ram offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son. Abraham called the name of that place, Jehovah Jireh {My Provider} Type and Shadow of God who would provide His Only Son as a Sacrifice:
Exodus 12:3-5: A LAMB for a house and without blemish: kill it in the evening, put the Blood upon the two side posts and the upper post of the houses: Vs 11-14: It is The LORD’S Passover: I will execute Judgment, but when I see the Blood, I will pass over you: It is a Token and shall be a Memorial in all generations: Again this points to The LAMB OF GOD, who would be offered up for the sins of all: His Blood shed for Remission of sins:
Isaiah 53:7: He was oppressed, He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth. He is brought as a LAMB to the slaughter, and as a sheep before his shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth:
John 1:29: Behold THE LAMB OF GOD, who takes away the sins of the world: My sins, and Everyone’s sins:
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him, would not perish, but have Everlasting Life: What a Sacrifice; He who knew no sin, became sin for us, so we could become the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, our Savior and Lord: Jesus is THE LAMB OF GOD:
1 Peter 1:19: For as much as you know that you were not Redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers, but with the Precious Blood of Christ as a LAMB without blemish and without spot, who verily was Foreordained before the Foundation of the world, but was Manifest in these last times for you: God had this planned long ago, for THE LAMB OF GOD to rescue us:
The LAMB OF GOD has many Names: A Lamb is a gentle creature that needs guidance: Read Psalm 22, 23 ,24:
Revelation 4:1-11: Heavenly worship of The One upon The Throne: Thou art Worthy, O Lord, to receive Glory and Honor and Power, for Thou hast Created all things and for Thy Pleasure they are Created.
Revelation 5:1-8: The Book and The LAMB: Who is Worthy to open The Book and to loose the seals thereof: No man in heaven, earth, nor under the earth was able to open or read the Book or look thereon. I wept much: One of the Elders said, weep not; behold the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open it:
Lo, in the midst of The Throne, stood a LAMB as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the Book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the Throne and when He had taken the Book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the LAMB, having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of the Saints: Singing Hallelujah, LAMB upon The Throne we Worship and adore You and we make your glories known.
