Would you love to be used of God? Will you say yes? Here am I Lord, send me?
Here are a few examples of people who made themselves available, and God’s will was accomplished through obedience.
Exodus 3:4: Moses, Moses. Called by the Lord, he said, Here am I: V 10: God said, Come now therefore I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people, the children of Israel out of Egypt: { Egypt is a type of the world } They were in bondage: V 11: Moses said to God, who am I that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? Speak to them and say, the God of your fathers sent me unto you? and when they ask me, what is your Name? What shall I say unto them? V14: Tell them, {I Am} sent me unto you:
Ex 4:10: He started making excuses, I am not eloquent, I am slow of speech, and slow of tongue. V 11: God asked him who made the mouth? God said, I will be with thy mouth and teach thee what thou shall say? Moses was mightily used of God to be the Deliverer of God’s people: Obedience:
Nehemiah used of God: Seeking the welfare of the children of Israel, and the re-building of the walls of Jerusalem which were broken down, and the gates burned with fire: When Nehemiah got knowledge of the situation, he wept, mourned, and asked God’s forgiveness for himself and the people, and for Mercy from God, who had redeemed them by His Great Power and Strong Hand: He prayed God to give him favor with the King to go build the walls again: At night he took some men with him, but did not tell them what God had put in his head to do: The walls and gates were built, in spite of opposition from the enemy. He did many other things, which he asked the Lord to remember him for: The Book of Nehemiah, will encourage you to want to be used of God, to do exploits in the Name of the Lord: The Mission was accomplished by diligence in fifty-two days:
Isaiah 6:8: And I heard the Voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then said I, {Here am I} send me: To be used of God to fulfill His plan, is of great worth and honor:
Luke 1:27-38: Mary used of God in birthing The Savior of the world, to redeem mankind from sin: She asked? How can this be? With God nothing shall be impossible: What was Mary’s answer? Be it unto me according to your Word: Obedience: In spite of the difficulties she faced: What If Mary had not said yes? Thank God for her response: He can do great things in and through a willing heart:
Luke 19:29-34: And it came to pass, when He had come nigh to Beth-pha-ge and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples saying, Go ye into the village over against you, in the which at your entering, you shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: Loose him and bring him hither: And if any man ask you, Why do you loose him? thus shall you say unto him,? Because the Lord had need of him: And they that were sent, went their way, and found even as He had said unto them: And even as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose you the colt? And they said, {The Lord hath need of him}
This colt was tied up, waiting for this day, to be ridden by Hosanna, into Jerusalem and then went to Calvary, to die on a cruel Cross for the sins of all mankind: If this donkey could talk, he would tell all the other donkeys, how blessed he was for The Master to use him: I know the donkey of Baalam talked: God can, and uses all of His creation: {HOW ABOUT YOU] – JESUS I am available:
