It is easy to think based on what confronts us on a daily basis, that God’s interest in his people has waned. We are told from the scripture, that he will never leave us or forsake us, and that is true based on Numbers 6:22-26 “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, on this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace”.
It is interesting that God told Moses who in turn should inform the Priest about the interest that he has towards his people. This instruction from God is generally known as a benediction. One that is not confined to the Old Testament but is also relevant to the New Testament. This benediction should be practice on a regular basis to convince ourselves that God’s interest in us has not waned.
In light of this benediction Lord promises protection, The Lord promises favor, The Lord promises joy, and the Lord promises peace.
Let this benediction abide in our hearts on a daily basis to give us victory over the enemy.
