The proper training of children is very significant to the Lord in that it is mentioned repeatedly throughout the scripture. In Ephesians 6:1-4
It says “children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.
Honor thy father and mother: which is the first commandment with promise:
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth”.
And, fathers provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”.
( The training of the children cannot be over emphasized, we see this manifest itself in various areas of society.
(1) Outstanding academic achievement
(2) Outstanding community members
(3) Outstanding civil servant
(4) Outstanding dedicated servants of God.
So, the writer to Proverbs 22:6 was correct, when he said, “train up the child in the way it should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”.
Thank God for the examples of proper parental training that we see around us.
