According to Matthew 12:31-32
“31 says wherefore I say unto you all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 and whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
(In this scripture we see, the importance of the person, and function of the Holy Spirit in the redemption ‘process of the church. Here we are told that every sin committed by man including speaking against the Son of God can be forgiven, but to speak against the Holy Spirit or to deny his existence is a sin which will not be forgiven in this world or the world to come. To deny the Holy Spirit is to deny the source of conviction according to John 16:8 “and when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement” therefore this third person of the Godhead is indeed the operational manager of the church.
Finally, let us not grieve, quench or blaspheme the Holy Spirit).
