You’re More Valuable Than You Think!

The bible tells us that we are created in the image of God.  We’re not only created in the image of God but, we are expected to reflect God’s glory.
We read in the Bible where Jesus spoke about us as being valuable.  Matthew 6:26 “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barn; yet your heavenly father feedeth them.  Is he not much better than they”?

(In this passage we observe that the Lord is saying we are more valuable than the fowls of the air.
We are being encouraged by the Lord not to fear because of our status.  In Matthew 12:11-12 we read “And the Lord said unto them, what man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, will ye not lay hold of it, and lift it out?
How much then is a man better than a sheep?  Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days”.
(Now we have more evidence that the Lord says we are more valuable than sheep.  Are we conducting ourselves in the high esteem of which God has placed us? In   Matthew 10:29-31 ” Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?  And one of them shall not fall to the ground without your father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows”.
(We now learn that we are more valuable than the fowls of the air, more valuable than sheep and we are more valuable than sparrows. Why then do we devalue ourselves?  Recently in the news we read where a mother proposed to sell her baby for ($500) five hundred dollars.  This is an example of us humans devaluing ourselves who are created in God’s image.  According to John 3:16 Jesus did not come to save animals but, to save man from their sins.
Thank God for the value he has placed on us.
