One of the musts in the Christian experience is to have an established confidence in God’s ability to deliver us in times of peril.
Let’s look into a statement made by Job. We find it in Job 19:25 ” For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:”.
(This statement was not made when all was well with Job, at this point in his life he’d just lost his wealth, his health, his family and his fame.
In the face of total humiliation, the expression of a solid confidence emerged from a heart that trust God. As Christians we too are to express the same level of confidence in the ability of our Lord Jesus. In the words of the Apostle to the Hebrews 11:1 ” Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen. And in verse 6 of the same chapter, it says ” But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Looking back on these verses we see the role that faith plays in having confidence in God. Job has never seen the Lord, yet he said I KNOW. The Apostle express that the evidence lies in the things that are not seen. Finally, Paul wrote in Romans 8:35. ” Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine or nakedness, or peril, or sword “.
Inspite of all these factors that Christians might experience Paul eventually said, “We are more than conquerors through him that love us “. So may I ask,
Where is your confidence level in God? ).

Having Faith in God, hearing His sayings and doing them, Jesus said I will liken him or her to a wise person, who built a house upon a Rock, The rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew and beat upon that house; it fell not, for it was founded upon a Rock. This Rock is Jesus and if on a stormy sea in a boat, as long as He is in the boat there is safety. TRUST.
