Doing Business God’s Way

In his book, Anointed for Business Ed. Silvoso gave some examples of people anointed for business. 

Walk in the newness of life. To do this effectively it will be helpful to understand that there are different manifestations and seasons for the anointing.

 What is the anointing?

• It is simply God’s empowerment to do His work so that the will of God will be done on earth.

Anointing in the Bible

1 Kings 19:16, 1 Samuel 16:12, 1 Kings 1:39

David’s Anointing

 – He was anointed to be king several years before he got the position

Lessons to learn from this.

A. Hang on to your vision.

B. Prepare for it.

C. The manifestation of your vision and the anointing that goes with it will become evident to everyone who needs to know. (Hebrews 11:1)

 If the seed is in you, then so is the potential for the tree and the fruit.

Esther’s Anointing

• She was anointed to serve a powerful gentile king.

   Lessons to learn from this.

1. She prayed. Prayer is the most important activity in the life of a Christian. (Colossians 4:2)
2. She took care of him. We must take care of the assignment God has given to us.(Colossians 4:17, 2 Corinthians 5:17-20)
3. She waited on God for the perfect moment.

 Pricilla and Aquila’s Anointing, Acts 18

• This couple was anointed for business and ministry.

    Lessons to learn from this.

1. We are called to work in unity and not in jealousy. (Philippians 2:3-7, 1 Samuel 24:6)

 Lydia’s Anointing, Acts 16

• She was anointed for business.

   Lessons to learn from this.

1. She served in her area and used it to influence others. She was determined and persuasive.

 Remember: The vision is for an appointed time

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (KJV)
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
