This is a time of year when some people become more aware of their finances, and some become more reckless in their spending. God has a plan for us. Today let’s look to His Word and become more equipped.
God’s Plan & Purpose
- Gives you the power to gain wealth so that he may establish his Kingdom. He is the source. Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)
18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. - God establish the principle of sowing and reaping. Genesis 8:22 (KJV)
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Laws of harvest
- You reap only what you sow.
- We reap the same kind we sow. Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:8 (KJV)
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. - We reap in a different season than we sow
- We reap more than we sow (Luke 6:38)
- We reap in proportion to what we sow (2 Corinthians 9:6)
- God owns all things.

God has requirements for the use of the resources.
- Bring the tithe into the storehouse.
- Tithing is the most significant part of your journey to financial freedom.
Why?
a. It puts your priorities in the right order, honoring God first. (Proverbs 3:9-10)

b. It keeps curses off your family. (Malachi 3) Malachi 3:9 (KJV)
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
c. It keeps an open heaven over your household. (Malachi 3) Malachi 3:10-11 (KJV)
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

- He wants us to be good steward. Luke 12:42 (KJV) 42 And the Lord said, who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

I have practiced tithing, and first fruit, from the time I got saved. I have had many miracles through obedience to this Word. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse. I would not consider robbing God and bringing a curse upon myself. I have proved God when He said He, I will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings, I am not able to receive, pressed down, shaken together. His blessings come in numerous ways, money could not buy. God is the Greatest giver of all, He gave His best, His only Begotten Son, who has given me life Eternal and life Abundant. It is more blessed to give, than to receive and to give with a willing heart. Where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Simply put we worship God with our wealth. Every gift is from above and we shew Him that He is number One in our lives. He is above All.
