Recently I had the pleasure of attending a backyard wedding at one of our sister’s home who’s a member of the ministry.
The landscape was completely transformed and created a relaxing and inviting ambiance under the overlapping fruit trees. In this setting my thoughts reflected on how honorable marriage is in the sight of God.
Hebrews 13:4 read “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled: BUT, whoremongers and adulterers God will judge “.
This is telling us that sex is protected under the honorable covenant of marriage. The beauty of that scenery also brought other scriptures to mind, like Matthew 19 :4-6
“And he answered and said unto them, have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
And said for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder “.
(This is a clear indication that marriage is part of God’s design and purpose for humanity. It also teaches us that the love Jesus displays for the Church should also be reflected in the marriage covenant.
Ephesians 5:25 tells us “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave himself for it “. Having read what Jesus says in the scriptures regarding marriage, how can we overlook the beauty of this covenant? May the Lord bless this couple and many others who have taken this journey.

As a participant of this Wedding Ceremony, it reminded me of The First Marriage in The Garden of Eden, by Almighty God Himself, who Said it is not good for man to dwell alone I will make him an help meet for him, and the two shall be one flesh. May His blessings be continually be on them.
